Doctor Who on Newsbiscuit

Doctor Who and the TARDIS are the subject of a superb piece of spoof news on the Newsbiscuit website today – and by voting the item to a 10, the item has a good chance of making the site’s frontpage, or even the Newsbiscuit.com mailout (if you register)!

If you’re infamiliar – Newsbiscuit gives readers the chance to create spoof and satirical news items, which other visitors then vote on (a careful perusal might show some by me…)

The entry in question covers the council tax banding for the TARDIS, health and safety regulations relating to ionising radiation and his refusal to employ an electrician.

Here’s a sample:

It would seem that The Doctor, who describes his occupation in the censuses of 2001, 1991, 1901 and 1841 as “Time Lord” may also have run foul of UK Health and Safety law for the use and control of ionising radiation (IRR99).

A recommended read.
