Torchwood in Need

According to Torchwood Magazine (via Blogtor Who) this year will see yet another Children in Need meets Doctor Who event.

And this time, Torchwood is getting in on the act!

On its way to being rebranded as a family show – and let’s face it, it’ll work better that way – Torchwood has already had a successful crossover with Doctor Who in The Stolen Earth and Journey’s End.

The details and nature of the event are at present unknown, but previous occasions have seen the Doctor and Rose in the TARDIS speeding towards Christmas Day, a musical tribute or two, and the Tenth Doctor having a nostalgic chat with his Fifth incarnation.

Let’s hope that whatever they do, 2008 is just as thrilling and satisfying… and remember it’s for charity!

A long-term Doctor Who fan, Christian grew up watching the show and has early memories of the Graham Williams era. His favourite stories are Inferno, The Seeds of Doom and Human Nature (although The Empty Child, Blink and Utopia all come close). When he’s not bossing around the news team, Christian is a freelance writer specialising in mobile technology and domestic computing, and enjoys classic rock, cooking and spending time in the countryside with his wife and young children. You can find him on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
