Sylv Appears

Sylvester McCoy popped up in Blackpool on Thursday to lend his hand to the resorts’ Doctor Who Exhibition.

The Seventh Doctor – who we last saw on screen regenerating into Paul McGann back in 1996 – is a big fan of the seaside town of Blackpool, and revealed that he has spent many happy times there.

"The last time I was here I was performing at The Grand, which is always fantastic and I actually performed as The Invisible Man".

"I really love coming to the old place because the people are fantastic and they are always so enthusiastic. There’s been a Doctor Who Museum here for years and the love for the show around here is amazing."

It seems that other Doctor Who stars – not to mention the Cybermen that appeared with Sylv – will be dropping in on the exhibition over the next few weeks. The Illuminations kicked off this weekend and will attract visitors to Blackpool until November 2nd.
