Who at the Proms

The BBC have announced that the Proms – recently criticised as being too exclusive to some sections of the public – are to hold a special Doctor Who-themed night, to be hosted by gorgeous Freema Agyeman.

Due to take place this July, The Doctor Who Prom will celebrate music from the show as well as featuring other compositions related to time and space, including such classics as Holst’s The Planets – Jupiter and Wagner’s Die Walkure – the Ride of the Valkyrie.

Of course the accusation levelled at the BBC that the Proms is in some way exclusive is utter tosh.

If people want classical music, they’ll get up and find some.
