Planet of the Ood Preview

Alien Planets Ahoy! Doctor Who returns at 6.20pm again next week, as Planet of the Ood sees the TARDIS deliver the Doctor and Donna to the home planet of the red-eyed, squid-faced Ood.

Directed by Graema Harper, the episode also features a guest appearance by Tim McInnerny (best known as Captain Darling/Lord Percy of Blackadder). Expect humanity painted in a bad light, and a subservient race getting annoyed as the Doctor and Donna travel in to humanity’s future and land on a distant ice planet.

The Ood Sphere is the home of the Ood, and given how easily they were taken control of in The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, I would suggest that some sort of symbiotic relationship exists between them and their home planet…
