eBay Dalek Suit £3,200

The magic of eBay has allowed a mystery buyer in the USA to pick up an original 1960s Dalek play suit for £3,200!

According to The Times, the suit was found after 40 years in a box in an attic, and listed with the hope of making a tenner.

While not completely unheard of these days, this suit is the first one to materialise on the web with its original box. This example among the original run of officially licensed Dalek suits to be made as a response to Dalekmania in 1963.

The value of these Dalek playsuits has been inflated for several years now due to them being part of a small production run issued before the factory burned down.

The buyer will have a bit of insurance to pay on the air fare, however, as he or she lives in Virginia, USA.

There’s an example of one of these Dalek playsuits on www.richardwho.com
