Freema luvs Jim Robinson

Chatting recently with Torchwood Magazine, Freema Agyeman revealed that she thought actor Alan Dale (Professor Aaron Copley in Reset and famously “Jim Robinson” in Neighbours) was – shall we put it – attractive…

Since leaving Neighbours, Dale has worked almost non-stop, building a reputation as a solid, reliable supporting actor.

And having watched Neighbours as a girl, it’s no surprise really that Freema fancies him…

“He’s so gorgeous and commanding that I actually melted a bit!” she said. “But he was so refreshing to talk to, because he was so frank about the industry, and always ready to laugh at himself. He said that even though he’s done 50 parts or whatever since he was in Neighbours, people still call him Jim!”

Agyeman disclosed that such an occurrence happened while filming the episode ‘Reset’, although Dale saw the funny side. “Someone called him Jim on set and I was just hooting,” she admitted. “Had he not been able to laugh at himself, that could have been an awkward situation!”

He’ll always be Jim Robinson to a generation of British television viewers; just like Freema will always be Martha Jones to a generation of Doctor Who fans.
