Doctor Who Homepage Relaunch

The BBC’s Official Doctor Who homepage is set for a major redesign next week in preparation for the returns of David Tennant as our favourite Time Lord

They’ve even gone as far as outsourcing the redesign – so we know they’re serious about it!

BBC Wales New Media have hired a top design agency to create both a new site design and "a much more dynamic way of accessing" their top quality content.

Basically, they’re bringing the site up-to-date with some much-needed modern website tools, and if it is as good as I suspect it will be, the new Doctor Who Homepage it is bound to set the pace among Doctor Who websites.

In fact I won’t be too shocked to see similarities with the new BBC.co.uk portal design.

The BBC Doctor Who site will relaunch on Wednesday April 2nd, with Series 4 content formatted in the new design and other content remaining in its current style until later in the year.

Hmmm. I fancy a bit of a redesign too, you know. I might get some new news writers on board, as well as… hah, I’ll keep that to myself, you never know who is listening…
