Verity Lambert Tribute

BBC Four is to broadcast a long-overdue appreciation of Verity Lambert’s work as a tribute to the first producer of Doctor Who who died in November after a career spanning 40 years.

Planned for screening in April, the themed evening will feature a specially made documentary about Lambert’s work, covering Doctor Who, Minder and various Quatermass dramas, and will include interviews with friends and colleagues of the first lady of British television.

Following this, repeats of some of her best-known and most notable programmes will be screened, which might include Adam Adamant Lives! or Jonathan Creek.

Personally speaking, I’m hoping for a rare episode of Doctor Who.

We published a tribute to Ms Lambert in November.
