Doctor Who News no image

Collinson Plays Manchester

Various North West based news outlets are getting their knickers wet over the prospect of the “secret hero of Doctor Who” leaving BBC Wales and heading to Manchester.

The fact that this was news before Christmas is evidently neither here nor there to the corporate press, however.

The bum-chinned one will be moving to Manchester in the spring as the head of a new drama “hub”.

Collinson – whose head was once used as the guide for the 12″ Christopher Eccleston dolls – will be in charge of identifying new projects and discovering exciting new writers, stories and production companies for the BBC as over 2,000 staff move to the new annoyingly l33t-titled mediacity:uk site at Salford Quays.

So once he’s there and in place, we can judge exactly what his contribution to Doctor Who actually was, and look for patterns in his future work…

Of course I’m only joking, although the moniker of “secret hero” is pretty insulting to the rest of the production team Many wishes of luck for the future Phil, and remember that Doctor Who will never leave you…

Phil’s work on Doctor Who pisses all over his previous series’ so a massive “THANK YOU PHIL!” from all at Kasterborous as we wave our Ninth Doctor dolls in there air!
