Sci Fi Hamlet

Originally titled "Mad Bitch Stalks Tennant", I felt that the tale of a slightly eccentric lady stalking David Tennant should be treated slightly more sensitively, lest the lady herself or even Doctor Who himself should be reading…

A tabloid newspaper reports that the lady has followed David Tennant to Stratford-upon-Avon where the Daily Star claims David Tennant is working on Hamlet. As it’s January and production doesn’t wrap on Doctor Who for at least 3 months, this is slightly dubious.

In her bewitched state, the "stalker" has supposedly (how do they know…?) purchased seats for the performances every weekend until November and has even sent David Tennant sci-fi adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays the Scottish actor and the obsessive individual in the lead roles.

A source said: "Obviously, David gets crowds of fans. But he’s never experienced anything as unsettling as this.

"She has been hassling cast members of the production. And she’s told them that she’s left her husband for David. She regularly leaves pencil drawings for him of them being friendly in the Tardis.

"And she writes bizarre sci-fi versions of Hamlet, featuring herself as Ophelia and David as a futuristic Hamlet.

"She insists that both the Doctor and Hamlet are aliens in a hostile universe, who are terrified of being alone. But she will save him by being his Rose or Ophelia.

"Sadly, the only thing she and Ophelia have in common is their madness. And David is afraid, very afraid."

If you know – or are – the lady in question, please spend a little bit of time speaking to someone who might understand or be able to help this kind of situation.
