Fashion Watch

With Voyage of the Damned now behind us, elements from the adventure are going on show, including the cocktail waitress dress worn by Kylie Minogue as Astrid Perth.

On display at the Doctor Who Up Close exhibition at Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay, the dress will be paraded alongside Slitheen, gasmask-wearing Empty Child, Sycorax and of course Daleks.

Incidentally the exhibition will soon be featured on official brown tourism signs by way of a Dalek!

The new display also features a Host Angel costume from the Voyage of the Damned Christmas adventure.

Martin Wilkie from Experience Design, which runs the exhibition, claims that:

“The exhibition already attracts more than 80,000 Doctor Who fans a month from around the UK and as far as America and Australia, who want to visit Cardiff Bay where the series is filmed.”

That’s quite an audience – although not as many as Kasterborous…
