Whatever Next, Sarah Jane…?

The Sarah Jane Adventures’ latest story – The Lost Boy – has finished airing on digital channel CBBC, along with suggestions that the series will be returning for a second run.

It seems however that this hasn’t always been the case, with the SarahJane.tv blogger noting that:

Earlier on this year I was made aware of several “issues” that could prevent a second series from taking place. Hopefully this has now been resolved, and all the cast and crew can move forth and create another series of Sarah Jane frolics!

I wonder what those “issues” could have been… and could they have had anything to do with Doctor Who…?

Meanwhile, previous tale Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane? attained good audience figures of 1.2 million viewers, a 9.6% of total of the available viewing audience.

Part Two received 0.38 million on digital channel CBBC, with this higher than usual figure indicating perhaps that a good story and cliffhanger will pull viewers in to finding out what happens next a week earlier…

With figures like these and appreciation high, let’s hope that second series will be along sooner rather than later…
