She’s Back!

The BBC has finally confirmed what has been suspected across fandom for ages – ROSE IS BACK

According to the BBC, Billie Piper is returning to star in 3 episodes of Series 4 as Rose Tyler. There is no word yet on just how she will escape from her parallel world prison.

Rose’s return will mean the Doctor has three assistants in next year’s series – Donna, played by Catherine Tate, and Freema Agyeman as Martha.

The new series begins in March and will run for 13 episodes. There will be three special editions in 2009 before the show takes a break until 2010.

So – Doctor Who returns in March, with a series comprising 3 female companions – Donna, Martha and Rose.

Captain Jack Harkness – John Barrowman – is also rumoured to be next year too – so it looks as though Russell T Davies and the team are pulling out all the stops for Series 4!

Billie Piper is also set to return as Sally Lockhart in the second BBC adaptation of Phillip Pullman’s books this Christmas
