Utterly delighted, that’s what I am. It’s far more than a picture of the Doctor and Martha legging it out of a burning house – it’s an image that heralds the return of Doctor Who!
You can get your own download of the image from the BBC’s Official Doctor Who site, nicely sized to fit your PC or Mac desktop.
While we continue to await a launch time – we know that the series returns on Saturday March 31st – coverage of Series 3 includes a visit by David Tennant to the Radio 1 studio of Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates. Yates of course plays Martha Jones’ brother Leo – and according to the BBC Press Office it seems that the evening of music and chat on Saturday 24th March will feature plenty of coverage of David’s early career…
Elsewhere, Doctor Who Online‘s Sebastian J Brook was the London Tonight‘s Doctor Who expert at the recent costume auction at Bonhams. Not only was Fourth Doctor Tom Baker’s famous scarf sold with trousers and jacket for over £20,000, there were other costumes from other major actors in the series:

Finally, the BBC have issued confirmation of the release date of The Runaway Bride on DVD. April 2 sees the standalone DVD go on sale accompanied by Music and Monsters – the Doctor Who Confidential Special, as seen on BBC One on Christmas Day.
This news also gives us another chance to look at the superb composition of the DVD cover of The Runaway Bride. I don’t know who did it, but he’s very good.
Perhaps we could get him to do some work on Kasterborous…?
