Eight, Ten & a New Theme Tune?

David Tennant has spoken to BBC kids news show “Newsround”. Briefly this is covered in the link above, which features the comment:

“If it all goes wrong, it’s my fault. I’m the only new guy. It just adds to the scariness factor.”

As reported yesterday, David Tennant and Ms Billie Piper have spoken to BBC Wales show “Wales Today” about the new series. You can view the item from today’s show at the BBC’s Official Doctor Who Website.

Meanwhile, reports of the show beginning filming in Cardiff is sweeping the Press, with icnorthwales among others noting that:

…the hit TV series took over a restaurant in the Mermaid Quay area of Cardiff Bay for a morning shoot.

Radio Times, the UK’s quality tv and radio listings magazine, is currently running some televised promotions which include 3 ads (thanks to eyeohorus.org.uk for this one). The third advert features a brand new arrangement of the famous Doctor Who theme tune…

Finally, confirmation of the schedule for BBC7′s broadcast of the Big Finish-produced audio adventures starring Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor comes from the Official Doctor Who Website

Big Finish producer Gary Russell is quoted:

“So many people thought that after the TV Movie that was it for Paul McGann’s Doctor.

“Big Finish set out to prove that this wasn’t the case, and here we are nearly 10 years later with a delightful series of exciting adventures that are now being made available to a wider audience who can enjoy the Eighth Doctor properly for the first time.

“He’s joined on his adventures by spunky 1930s society girl Charlotte ‘Charley’ Pollard, who sets out wanting to see the world and ends up seeing the entire universe.”
