Vote WHO!

Oh yes… further underlining the massive impact the new series has had on a generally bland world of television, Doctor Who has been nominated in 3 categories at this years National Television Awards!

Hosted by Trevor McDonald and held this coming October, the NTA 2005 is in its 11th year and each of the 13 categories are available for public voting at the NTA website – I don’t think we need to tell you how to vote…

This is also repeated on the BBC News site, which tells how Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper are in running for the Best Actor and Best Actress awards while the show itself is nominated in the Best Drama slot. Competition comes from the likes of Eastenders stars Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace as well as shows such as “Midsomer Murders”, “Doc Martin” and “Wire in the Blood”.

We at Kasterborous have of course already voted, and are backing our favourite TV programme to do us proud again and come back with at least 1 award – much of the competition might be formulaic star vehicles, but there are one or two hidden quantities in the running…
