Paragon of virtuous journalism the Daily Star yesterday printed the following details concerning the plot of the penultimate episode of the curret sereis, Bad Wolf. Some of this information could be considered spoiler – although it is worth pointing out that no one really knows what’s going to happen at the end of the series, including most of the cast appearing in it!
So, spoiler coming up – so we’re employing text colouring to prevent any unnecessary reading for those of you wishing to avoid learning anything – simply select the text with your left mouse button from the heading in bold below down to the next section!
Susannah & Trinny give Doc’s captain fashion makeover.
Bitchy makeover queens Tinniy and Susannah are to star in Doctor Who. The dynamic duo who host TV’s What Not To Wear, look completely out of this world after they are turned into robots.
Trinny Woodall, 40, and Susannah Constantnie, 42, who famously tear a strip off celebs over their fashion sense, pop up in the next-to-last episode called Bad Wolf.
The Doctor (Christopher Eccleston, 41) lands his Tardis on the dangerous Game Station in the year 200,100 where he and his sidekicks Rose ( Billie Piper, 22) and Jack (John Barrowman, 38) all end up fighting for their lives.
Thanks to an evil alien called the controller they are dispatched to various TV game shows. Jack is confronted by Trinny and Susannah who are now robots trying to change his image. The presenters provide the voices of their mechanical counterparts and they even end up stripping poor Jack naked.
Hunky John joked ” I had no problem about being nude. It’s all part of the business of being adored”.
Meanwhile the Doctor has to battle for survival inside the Big Brother house.
And Rose facs the wrath of an Anne Robinson robot in a version of The Weakest Link.
In the episode fans will also uncover the mystery of the phrase Bad Wolf – a coded message which has been running through the series.
The two-part storyline is the climax to the series. Viewers will discover that The Game Station is hiding a far more dangerous threat which includes thousands of Daleks.
It’s rumoured that the Doctor will be exterminated leading to his regeneration into a new-look Timelord to be played by David Tennant, 33.
The Bad Wolf episode is due to go out on Saturday June 11th.
Meanwhile, more Bad Wolf – rumours have circulated the Internet in the last 24 hours regarding a webpage at the BBC’s official site that was made live for a short time on Tuesday. The page, naturally, was the episode page for Bad Wolf…
Finally, those wonderful Doctor Who fans at The Guardian have spoilt us once again – writer Nicholas Lezard bemoans the lack of anything of any real substance available to children of the 21st Century. Thankfully though:
Riding over the hill to the rescue comes Russell T Davies, who, as everyone else in the country now agrees, has delivered a series of Doctor Who better than anyone had imagined was possible.
Which pretty sums up the feelings of most Doctor Who fans, parents or otherwise!
