Some interesting tidbits for you folks out there… Firstly, the wonderful Official Doctor Who website has had a slight facelift, and carries a clock (05 Months and 25 Deadly Days until Christmas) as well as a new Christmas Invasion screensaver which features photo stills from Series 1/Season 27 and the clock counting down to Christmas.

John Barrowman – Captain Jack Harkness – has been snapped by SFX magazine at the weekend’s London Film and Comic Convention. he appears in SFX issue 134.

Finally – Doctor Who continues to be a cipher in the Press (or at least The Guardian)for the heights that UK television can aspire to:

The BBC has pointed to the popularity of Doctor Who on Saturday nights as proof of the demand for family entertainment. But the programme has been seen as one of the few to attract a wide and diverse audience in a landscape of more than 200 digital channels.

the article is called “Watching TV remains a social activity, study claims” by Stephen brook, which reveals that research by the Future Foundation, a commercial think tank shows that the majority of television watching is still in this multi-channel age a group/family activity…
