Radio Times Doctor Who Special

The new issue of Radio Times is now available, and very reasonable at 93p! It’s a Doctor Who special and contains a gatefold cover (one of four available) mine had a glorious shot of Christopher Eccleston and Billie inside the TARDIS, as well as a special 16 page pull out.

The pull-out contains exclusive interviews including Russell T Davies who gives the lowdown on his new baby, A question and answer session with Christopher Eccleston and another glorious interview with Billie Piper.

Unexpectedly (to me anyway) is a slick section on the TARDIS console room design and an in depth look at the creatures featured throughout the series run. Theres smaller overviews on The Mill, The CGI special effects team that worked on the show, while all the while RTD gives us snippets and comments page to page.

All in all worth getting your hands on! Theres also a merchandise Radio Times offer page that offers a cool TARDIS CD/DVD case, its amazing!

UK Gold Plans day of Doctors

Those kind chaps over at UK Gold are wetting our appetite leading up to the new series on 26th March from 8.00am onwards, beginning with The Doctor Who Story, a documentary celebrating the veteran Time Lord, as well as a series of stories right up until 7.00pm when the new series airs. Stories to be shown include William Hartnells The Time Meddler, The Daemons starring Jon Pertwee, Pyramids of Mars with Tom Baker of course, Attack of the Cybermen with Colin Baker and lastly Dragonfire starring Sylvester McCoy.

It should be quite a day!
