Claws of Axos/City of Death DVD Details

Following closely on the heels of Horror of Fang Rock and The Mind Robber comes The Jon Pertwee Classic Claws of Axos originally aired between 13th March – 3rd April 1971.

The story tells the tale of a race of space parasites, disguised as attractive gold beings and bearing the twig of peace setting out with the aid of The Master to drain the earth of its energy.

The DVD will be out in April and will feature an extensive list of features including a Commentary track, photo gallery, out takes/deleted scenes a Now and Then’ featurette about the Dungeoness location and a Michael Ferguson (director) interview among other things.

The City of Death is considered by many as a classic and is a welcome addition to the dvd series. Its planned release is November and is set to feature an interview with Tom Baker on location in Paris where the story was filmed. Keep it here for more information soon.
