New Series Theme Tune & Friday Press Round-up

Released today on the SFX website – Murray Gold, composer of “The Second Coming” and “Queer as Folk” scores has been confirmed as arranger of the new series theme tune!

SFX report that the theme tune was delivered on 17th December, and that it contains the classic 1970s “cliffhanger screech”! Russell T. Davies describes the new arrangement as “faithful” to the original.

This exciting news can be read in it’s entirety at www.futurenet.com/sfx; the new issue of SFX 129 is released February 16th and features part one of an interview with Russel T. Davies, plus a Doctor Who cover by Chris Achilleos.
